Instructions for Measuring Yourself
To achieve precise measurements, use a flexible cloth or hemline tape. If unavailable, a string can serve as an alternative. Measure using the string, then compare against a ruler for accurate dimensions. Note that actual garment dimensions can differ from style to style based on the design and technology employed.
Bust Measurement
Position your arms naturally by your sides. Measure the fullest part of your bust/chest, ensuring the tape is horizontal to the floor.
Tip: Allow the tape to adjust as you breathe in and out for the most comfortable fit.
Waist Measurement
Place the tape around your natural waist line. It's typically found between the ribs and hips, being the narrowest part of the waist.
Tip: Ensure the tape isn't too tight; it should have a bit of slack for a comfortable fit.
Hip Measurement
Standing with your feet together, measure the broadest part of your hips, roughly at the level of your hip bones, ensuring the tape remains straight and horizontal to the floor.
Torso Measurement
Begin at the shoulder near your neck, descend with the tape across the front, passing underneath your crotch, and then ascend up your back, meeting the starting point, forming a loop.
Note: When selecting swimsuits, torso measurement is pivotal. Torso length isn't always proportional to height. For instance, a tall individual might have a short torso and lengthy legs.
